Summer has arrived early!

Temperatures Set To Steam Up Across North Queensland This Weekend

Summer is over a month away from starting, but this weekend you'll get a steamy tease of it.

A heatwave will cover all of North Queensland, seeing temps in some parts sore towards 40 degrees across Saturday and Sunday before easing off on Monday.

So fill the ice tray, check the aircon batteries, and do a Bunnings trip for a new shell pool for the dogs- because it's time to keep cool!

If you have elderly family, or neighbours make sure you check on them too, that they are cooling down with lots of water, the fan on, and comfortable clothing (it's definitely time to put the knit vest in the cupboard!)

Popular spots to beat the heat will be:
The Rockpool
5 Mile
Big + Little Crystal Creek
Riverway Lagoons
Alligator Creek
and all Public Pools

This is what BOM have predicted for the weekend:

Townsville
Saturday 22-33
Sunday 23-32

Ingham
Saturday 17-36
Sunday 18-35

Ayr
Saturday 19-34
Sunday 20-33

Bowen
Saturday 20-33
Sunday 22-32

Charters Towers
Saturday 19-40
Sunday 20-39

Before Birds of Tokyo arrive in Townsville for Oztober- they caught up with Pricey!
