More then 3 million dollars is on the table, with the Cowboys making their play to get Val Holmes back to the North.

The Cowboys camp are able to begin negotiations from today with the NRLS annual November 1 contracting period in effect.  

Holmes has expressed his wishes to come home to Townsville where his family are, but the in form star has found extra comfort in recent times down in Cronulla.

Now that negotiations can kick off, it's believed Holmes will be inundated with offers as the most sought after talent in the pool. 

Fox Sports has reported that a 3-4 year deal is what the Cowboys are putting forward for the 23-year-old.
