Burdekin Falls Dam foundation drainage improvement
$4.6 million in 2017-18 out of a $10.1 million total spend to continue the improvement in the efficiency of existing drains in the spillway, installation of additional drains and enhancement of the rock foundation anchoring. Part of the Dam Safety Improvement Program.
Townsville Water Security Measures
$10 million in 2017-18 out of a $225 million total spend to ensure the State is prepared to act on the findings of the intergovernmental Water Taskforce and support sustainable and secure long-term water supply for Townsville.
Bruce Highway widening (Deep Creek to Bluewater Creek)
$7.1 million in 2017-18 out of a $7.5 million total spend to widen the pavement on the Bruce Highway between Deep Creek and Bluewater Creek, due for completion in February 2019. Part of the Bruce Highway Upgrade Program, delivered in partnership with the Australian Government.

Bohlevale State School multi-purpose hall upgrade
$1.2 million in 2017-18 out of a $1.3 million total spend to upgrade the multi-purpose hall.
Townsville Sports Reserve Precinct upgrade
$825,000 in 2017-18 out of a $3.3 million total spend to implement various capital works projects at the Townsville Sports Reserve Precinct to continue improving sports facilities.

Townsville Courthouse upgrade - Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Courts
$4.5 million in 2017-18 out of a $9 million total spend to upgrade Townsville Courthouse to support the expansion of specialist Domestic and Family Violence Courts. Part of the Domestic and Family Violence Response.
Port of Townsville Berth 4 upgrade
$14.4 million in 2017-18 out of a $37.3 million total spend to upgrade the Berth 4 Facility at the Port of Townsville, due for completion in December 2018.
Paediatrics Ward at Townsville Hospital
$2.6 million in 2017-18 out of a $6.6 million total spend to complete the fitout and refurbishment of the existing Paediatrics Ward at Townsville Hospital. Part of the Significant Regional Infrastructure Projects Program (SRIPP).
