Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill and Australian Cricket great Andrew Symonds officially launched the ticket sales for a four-day pre-Ashes series at Riverway Stadium today!
The Cricket Australia Xl will host the English Men’s Team in a pre-Ashes match from Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18th of November at the stadium. This is the first time England has played in Townsville in 55 years...That's huge!
Townsville Mayor Cr Jenny Hill said “Cricket fans in North Queensland will have a chance to enjoy international cricket in their own backyard and experience first-hand the 2017 Ashes campaign.”
She also said “Townsville will attract huge attention with the lead-up match before the First test, we look forward to the influx of fans and of course the Barmy Army.”
The match will start daily from 10am with fun for the whole family!
