Two Incidents, Three Teens Arrested in Bendigo CBD

Three teens will be formally interviewed in the presence of a guardian today after two incidents in Bendigo CBD Monday night.

The most serious involved a 50 year old man allegedly assaulted near Hargreaves St after leaving a food outlet around 6:15pm.

The victim was taken for observation at Bendigo Hospital with one youth arrested.

Two teens are also alleged behind the theft of alcohol from a nearby liquor store.

Police Minister Lisa Neville came to Bendigo in May to discuss ongoing concerns over the safety of Hargreaves Mall and surrounding streets.

The City was promised some of the 3135 new officers to be dispatched from the Victoria Police Academy over the coming four years.

New CCTV cameras will also be installed following a Federal election commitment from the Turnbull Government last year.
