This week, "The Railway Children" opens at the New Lyric Theatre in Bunbury.

This delightful family show is a must for all ages. Based on the book by Edith Nesbit, it tells the story of the Waterbury family whose lives are dramatically changed when Father is arrested accusing of spying. Mother and children are forced to leave their comfortable life in London to live in virtual poverty in a railwayman's cottage in Yorkshire. This is an adventure for the children and they make friends with the Stationmaster and other characters who come into their lives. Needless to say a train plays an important part in the story and the magnificent replica was built by local member Norm Flynn..... So, it's all aboard The Green Dragon!
