In great news for literature loving South West students , Between the Lines - a Literature Festival designed for youths, will be held later this month.

The inaugural festival, Seven Rooms Seven Stories, was held in 2016 and was an outstanding success. Nine West Australian authors presented to over 500 students from 10 different schools.

In 2017, 12 West Australian authors and illustrators will present, 15 schools will attend and it will be held over two days to cater for the far greater number of students involved.

Secondary schools attending include St Mary MacKillop College, Georgiana Molloy Anglican School, Busselton SHS, Cape Naturaliste College, Nannup DHS, Bunbury SHS, Newton Moore SHS, Australind SHS and Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School. The festival is the brainchild of Beth Herbert, who is both an English teacher and who also owns Dymocks Busselton.

The venue for the festival is St Mary MacKillop College, Busselton and will be held on Thursday 23rd March and Friday 24th March. In addition, a mass book signing will be held at Dymocks Busselton on Saturday, 25 March, at 10am.

Authors attending include Dianne Wolfer, Mark Greenwood, Norman Jorgensen, Danny Parker, James Foley, Jen Banyard, Sally Murphy, Rebecca Cool, Sam Carmody, Kate McCaffrey, Brendan Ritchie and Julia Lawrinson
