Bunbury Regional Art Galleries is now accepting entries for the annual Noongar Country exhibition. All Indigenous artists who reside on Noongar Boodja (Noongar Country) are invited to submit up to three artworks for consideration in the exhibition. Noongar Boodja includes the South West corner of WA, covering an area from the South of Geraldton diagonally across to Esperance.

Noongar people have lived continuously on this land for at least 45,000 years and Noongar Country celebrates this continuing connection by showcasing the enormous range of artworks produced by contemporary Noongar artists.

A total of $5000 in prizes is on offer this year, including the major prize award of $3000 cash, as well as a $1500 highly commended prize and a $500 youth award for artists under 25.

Artists have until Sunday 4 June to get their entries in. Entries can be submitted online through www.brag.org.au and hard copy applications are available at the gallery.

Noongar Country 2017: Six Seasons will open at BRAG on Friday 30 June, and will be on exhibition at BRAG from 1 July to 3 September 2017.
