Round 9 of the 2016/17 Swimming WA Open Water Swimming (OWS) Series will be held this Saturday at Harvey Dam. This is a brand new leg of the Series and part of Swimming WA and the Swimming Australia Limited Foundation’s commitment to bringing the OWS Series to Regional Western Australia.

The initiative by Swimming WA and the SAL Foundation is in its third year and has expanded from the initial three (3) Regional rounds (Geraldton, Albany and Mandurah) in 2015 to now encompass a total of seven (7) rounds that range from as far north as Carnarvon and south to Albany.

The swim will commence at 2.00pm and has distances for everyone ranging from 500m to 5kms. Following the swim and as part of the presentations, there will be a community BBQ for all the competitors, technical officials and spectators and their families to be held in the local area.
