Just 24 hours after Goldfields police seized 5kg of cannabis, South West detectives have claimed an even bigger haul.
Bunbury Police yesterday executed a search warrant on a commercial premises in Forrest Avenue following information from a member of the public reporting suspicious behaviour.
Police allege that search resulted in 7.8kg of cannabis, a sum of cash, one firearm, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia.
Two people have been charged from the incident.
A 43 year old man from East Bunbury has been charged with six offences and a 28 year old woman from East Bunbury has been charged with three offences including possession of prohibited drugs with the intent to supply or sell.
Both people will appear at the Bunbury Magistrates Court later today.
Yesterday, Goldfields Police seized up to 5kg of cannabis near Kambalda and charged two people from Mount Barker with drug related offences.
