The Disabled Surfing Association’s January event on Saturday was another huge success giving people across the South West who live with a disability the opportunity to hang ten in the surf.

With a brisk South East wind blowing, there were nice small waves rolling into Bunker Bay making the conditions great for all the people involved.

Almost 40 participants assisted by 80 volunteers enjoyed a beautiful morning of surfing excitement with many families travelling from as far as Bunbury and Pemberton to join in the day.

The association’s new floating wheelchair was taken for its maiden voyage with long time enthusiast Hillary Rumley giving it the thumbs up.

The next event will be held at Bunker Bay on Sunday, February 12, contact Ant Purcell on 9755 4037 for more information.
