The Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience – the largest free travelling exhibition ever featured by the Australian War Memorial opens at the Eaton Recreation Centre today with more than 200 WW1 artefacts on display

 

The exhibition allows visitors to journey through the nation’s footsteps into the war and uses technology to engage visitors in a manner that is educational and entertaining.

 

Retired Major General Brian Dawson from the Australian War Memorial said the exhibition to marks the Anzac Centenary, 1914 to 1918, and will only visit the South West once before heading to Kalgoorlie.

 

Major General Dawson will share first hand his personal World War I stories with the community today at 2:30 pm.

 

The exhibition is open at the Eaton Recreation Centre, from 11-16 January from 9.00 am – 5:30pm on January 11, 14 and 15.
