Drama normally follows Jarryd Hayne like a shadow, whether it's his brilliant on-field performances with the Parramatta Eels, his brief NFL stint with the San Fran 49ers, or his rugby 7's involvement with Fiji. Unfortunately, Hayne's off-field behaviour has come under scrutiny again as he is reportedly being investigated for sexual assault.
A woman in her 20's has claimed she suffered injuries during a sexual encounter with Hayne on September 30 and that she has photographic evidence. The alleged victim was interviewed by the NRL’s integrity unit, who then referred the matter to police. Hayne is already in the midst of a sexual assault claim in the USA, with a civil damages case ensuing against him from 2016 after prosecutors refused to charge Hayne for rape due to insufficient evidence.
This morning Spida contemplated Hayne's future, whether he is guilty or innocent, and what the NRL clubs can do at this stage with Hayne being out of contract.
