Chef's Long Table Lunch Chairman Doug Green was still beaming yesterday after a huge Sunday on the Bunbury foreshore at the 2018 Chef's Long Table Lunch.

More than 500 guests from all over the South West and further afield were served by a team of over 100 volunteers with culinary delights prepared by some of the finest chefs in the state, all of whom gave their time and talent.

With final counting not fully complete the magic figure of $1 million in donations over the last 15 years to the community will hopefully be realized with over $78,000 going to the biggest range of beneficiaries the event has ever helped.

One of the largest is the Surf Life Saving Club with local members acting as helpers across the day.

Mr Green said he was thankful for the "overwhelming support from a range of donors and sponsors, including the City of Bunbury which offered assistance despite the committee not having an official funding request for this year"

"They were a terrific help to us and we are looking forward to an ongoing relationship with the City"

"The generosity of people year after year shows the love for this event, and next year will be even better"
