Go Margot Robbie!

Screen Actors Guild Award Nominations

Go Margot Robbie!

It's awards season for TV and movies and around the world you'll hear about the BAFTAS, The Director's and Writer's Guild Awards, The Golden Globes, we had the Aussie AACTA Awards last week and now the nominations are out for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

All these are money in the bank for the winners and lead up to the one award everyone wants, The Oscar.

Sometimes winning an Oscar can be akin to drinking poison, think Maggie Smith or Louis Gossett Jnr, and on other occaisions it's like winning the lottery, and of course an Oscar win can put more bums on seats and lots more money in the bank.

And so it is today for Margot Robbie, former cast member of Neighbors who has a nomination and a pretty good chance of making speeches early next year for her role as ice skater Tonya Harding in I Tonya, filmed in Queensland and opening Jan 25.

Sadly Hugh Jackman missed out on a nod but is getting rave reviews for The Greatest Showman. Poop.
