How many times have you struggled to get out of bed on a Monday morning, dragged your sorry butt into the shower, found something to wear, struggle through the traffic, maybe find a parking spot, and spend a whole day in your little work space, only to hit repeat the next day?
Wouldn't it be nice not to have to leave the house and do all your work via email and smart phone?
A lot of people work from home but now the United Nations has a report that the dream of the home work place is not that rosy after all.
In fact after looking at home workers' experiences in 15 different countries shows a bit of a dark cloud.
Nearly half reported sleep problems and a kind of disconnect with fellow workers on a regular basis was also highlighted as a nightmare for those who work from home or are "highly mobile workers"
Wowser, here was I thinking it would be a dream. Apparently not so.
Technology was supposed to make our lives easier and certainly in many ways it has, however actually not having to get up and leave your home to interact with our fellow humans can, for some people, be a major problem.\
I'd love to give it a shot if only I had the smallest amount of discipline to make it work. I know for a fact that at this stage I simply don't.
One day, but not yet.
