For a band that has been around for 50 years, sold over 100 million albums, it's a surprise that this hasn't come any earlier.

However, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks has announced that the band will not be releasing any more new material.

17 studio albums, 8 live albums, 23 compilations... I mean, there's a lot there already.

Interviewed in Rolling Stone magazine, Nicks said it's the way the music industry is nowadays that has stopped any future plans.

“I don’t think there’s any reason to spend a year and an amazing amount of money on a record that, even if it has great things, isn’t going to sell.

"I don’t think we’ll do another record. If the music business were different, I might feel different,” says Nicks.

Let's be truthful, the way to make big money now in the music business is to go on tour, where you can sell out stadiums and sell a tonne of merchandise.

So let's hope their voices hold out!
