Last week, we told you how Stevie Nicks said there wouldn't be anymore Fleetwood Mac albums because, let's be frank, it's easier to make money in the music business through touring than releasing new material.

A couple of updates on that front.

Firstly, Fleetwood Mac have now magically announced touring in 2018.

Christine McVie speaking to Uncut Magazine in the UK ""The 2018 tour is supposed to be a farewell tour."

"But you take farewell tours one at a time," she added.

"Somehow we always come together, this unit. We can feel it ourselves."

Now, let's just calm down a tad, because no dates have been confirmed yet, it's just planning at the moment. But we look forward to Fleetwood Mac returning to Australia (wink wink, nudge nudge).

Meanwhile, on the album front, Fleetwood Mac already have new material set to be released... sort of.

Mick Fleetwood announcing a new album under the title "Buckingham McVie" which features the whole band, except for Nicks!

It was going to be a Fleetwood Mac album and has been in the works for some time. But with Nicks pretty much ruling out any more recordings, the band thought to release it under a different name.

Fleetwood told Uncut Magazine: “The crafting of the album became so specifically about Chris and Lindsey some time ago. It came under the heading of music that had to come out.

"Chris is full of vim and vigor, which is mind-blowing, and I’m really happy for Lindsey, because this is what he most likes to do – putting something together.

“This relationship is a real expression of a musical powerhouse that’s come to the fore, and we’re all happy about that,” he added. “It’s really cool. I think they’ll be walking down some red carpets with this one.”
