Port Adelaide assistant coach Michael Voss says that the Power’s loss to Fremantle in round 17 stalled the club’s momentum before they eventually missed finals.

Speaking to Dead Set Legends in Adelaide, Voss said that Port’s game plan fell apart and took a few weeks to get back on track.

“The Fremantle game was a real kick up the backside and a really disappointing loss,” Voss said.

“Our whole style of play unfortunately fell apart on that day.

“I think it took a couple of weeks to get that back, and then when we found that level of consistency and we played against a couple of, y’know, big games, and we weren’t able to get that done against Adelaide and also against West Coast, and that really put a dint in our season.”

Vossy also discussed the last two months of the season, an up-coming footy review at Port, and Brendon Lade leaving to go back to Melbourne.
