Ex-Aussie tennis player Sam Groth joined Dead Set Legends with Jay Clark and Dale Lewis this morning, and dropped a cracking story from the crowd at the Sydney v Richmond game on Thursday night.

Groth is an ambassador for the Swans and was sat near 2005 premiership legend Leo Barry, who Grothy says took a massive grab in the crowd after a Richmond goal.

“The first time Richmond went down to their forward line, Jack Riewoldt took a mark about 10 metres out and snapped the goal,” Grothy said.

“We all sort of looked at each other all disappointed, and as the ball sailed over my head to the goals, Leo Barry stepped up and took a mark over about four people in the crowd!

“Every Swans supporter in the area all of a sudden yelled out “Leo Barry!”
