Hamish Hartlett joined Jars and Louie on The Rush Hour to explain why he's not a huge fan of social media.
Hammer mentioned that mental health was one of the biggest issues for him, and an issue that affects many footballers in AFL.
He also mentioned that getting rid of Twitter was one of the best things he's done.
He says, “I was getting absolutely fed up with it… there’s far too much negative stuff that’s put out there so it’s best just to avoid it."
Supportive of Hammer's decision, Ken Hinkley also explained why he thinks it's a good idea.
Ken Hinkley mentioned, “Hamish has made a decision he doesn’t want to be a part of it…and I think that’s a smart decision."
“If someone keeps criticising you I think that can’t be a healthy way to live... For our Players… I find it quite dangerous..."
“The bad is far more hurtful than any of the good can do for you so I’d stay off it."
Do you think it's best for footballers to stay away from social media?
