How Quickly Will Rory Sloane Bounce Back After His Eye Socket Injury?

The champion is BACK for 2017. Rory Sloane joined the boys on The Rush Hour yesterday arvo and they said, “now mate, we’ve got the connections, just tell us who it was that hurt your eye socket and we’ll finish them.”

“I think Brodie Smith released that on an interview a couple of weeks ago! He really threw Joshy Jenkins under the bus!”

“The way it happened was the most unlucky injury you can possibly imagine, just a finger straight to the eye-ball an absolute bullseye and it cause a bit of damage!”

On his recovery: “I had the surgery last Thursday and it went really well… They had to insert an artificial bone to replace my eye socket that had been mooshed up! But I’m on the mend, I can’t run until next week which is unfortunate.”

On the loss of midfield depth: “It’s not all doom and gloom, we’ve worked over the summer to get more depth and we need to get more people rolling through there! You’ll see a lot more numbers roll through there like Curtly Hampton, Rory Atkins and Charlie Cameron – these guys have plenty of speed, which has been what’s lacked on my behalf over the last couple of years… But poor Cam, he had a great pre-season but unfortunately did possibly the worst football injury you can do!”
