Speaking on Triple M Adelaide this morning, Roo and Ditts were asking listeners for their ‘un-Australian stories’ when Wendy from the Adelaide Hills rang through.
Wendy, who works at a couple of universities in Adelaide, revealed that people are using the tertiary system to make welfare claims.
“We have people who enrol in a degree, register for classes and don’t turn up,” Wendy told Triple M.
“So they take away a spot from other people, but then they also get Centrelink payments for the whole year, even though they failed everything.”
Roo and Ditts refuted the claims, calling ‘bull dust “ on Wendy’s claims out of sheer disbelief.
“I kid you not,” Wendy stated.
“It’s shit me so much.
“I’ve gone to ring up a few times because I think it’s something that should be addressed on a national level because this happens all across Australia.”
Roo and Ditts claimed there should be a minimal ‘pass’ mark needed for people to receive their payments.
More to come.
