Surely not?!

Is it illegal to toot your horn? Now, not to toot our own horn here, but Jay & Dave had a chat to Steve Smith from Mackay Police this morning to find out the answer!

"It depends on the circumstances. Say, for example, you're travelling down Victoria Street right in front of your office and a car is coming out of the centre parking in front of you and you want give them a bit of a warning and you might activate your horn - that's absolutely fine.

"But, if you're leaving a party celebration at 2am and you decide you want to impress all of the party goers and you activate your horn down the whole length of the street, then that's a whole different story altogether. You can actually get a $78 fine for improper use of your car horn, but you don't lose any points", Steve said.

So, in saying that, Jay & Dave are trying something. How many people will toot their horn at the same time? Wherever you are, whether it's in Mackay or the Whitsundays, when you hear the boys count it in, toot your horn!

Make sure you're listen to Jay & Dave's “Big Toot” tomorrow at 8:15am on Triple M Mackay!
