November 11th is a day set aside throughout the Commonwealth to remember those who served in the First World War. 

In celebration of Remembrance Day and everything it represents, thousands of Queenslanders crafter handmade poppies to honour the 57,705 Qld soldiers who enlisted during WW1. These were placed inside giant acrylic letters spelling out 'REMEMBER'.

The 16-metre long installation is located at Council Chambers on Gordon Street, where you can visit to pay your respects to the fallen soldiers, just like Jay did...
