This morning Jay & Dave were joined by Member for the Whitsundays, Jason Costigan, who talked about the CID Harbour Shark Attacks following his appearance on the Project last night.

Mr Costigan reflected on his experience at the beach yesterday, and how he felt no threat or danger from sharks, although there was something arguably far more dangerous than any shark...

Find out what it was in the chat below!

But humour aside, the 3 shark attacks on the islands in the past 3 months are no laughing matter.

Authorities installed temporary drumlines following the September attacks, which were removed despite catching 6 sharks in 1 week!

Obviously no one wants this to happen, but to pretend it’s not happening, put drumlines in for a week, get six sharks …. and then pull the drumlines out … to just do that is not good enough.

- Tourism Operator, Lindsay Simpson to The Sunday Project

What do you think of the government's response to the attacks? Do you feel safe at our beaches?
