This week Triple M teamed up with Park Beach Homebase and Harvey Norman to help out a local family in need.

A listener sent a letter regarding the Lucas Family and asking for help as their current computer was beyond repair, making it difficult for the children to complete their school work.

The family had been doing it tough, with the girls dad Toby returning from two tours of Afghanistan and suffering from PTSD.

Toby has found it difficult to find work since leaving the army. Yet, with all his medical hurdles, still made time to take part in school Anzac Day activities, plus volunteering to help young autistic children.

After receiving the letter, Triple M Breakfast host Moffee contacted the Lucas Family on Monday and spoke to mum Ashleigh, to reveal that with the support of Park Beach Homebase and Harvey Norman, they had a brand new laptop, with all the required software, for the family to help with their education.

Ashleigh explained the battle that Toby has had to face, "Just the way he has had to change so much, and pick himself up and get back out there in the world".

Caroline Bleechmore from Park Beach Home Base and the team from Triple M joined the family on Tuesday to present the new laptop.

When asked about how his service, Toby told Moffee, "the PTSD has been difficult after the second tour, plus I injured my back, and it's all held together with nuts and bolts now".

"It's just nice to know there are people out there that care" Mr Lucas said.
