It would be difficult to name an artist or group that photographer Tony Mott hasn’t snapped across his 30+ year career; from ‘learning’ rock photography by capturing the Divinyls, Tony would go on to photograph some of the biggest names in music like Queen, David Bowie, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Madonna among many more.
He has had over 30,000 photographs published in 20 countries. His images have appeared on 400 posters, on the covers of 500 CDs and in more than 900 magazines
A retrospective of his work What A Life! Rock Photography by Tony Mott is currently on show at the Albury Library Musuem, on loan from the State Library of NSW.
A number of eager rock fans and photographers were treated to a talk from Tony on Saturday June 2nd during a ‘Meet the Artist’ event. Going behind the lens with Tony is a romp through the crazy world of rock n roll with some of its most beloved and intriguing characters.
