Spot fixing allegations have been made about Australia’s Test match against India in Ranchi last year.

TV channel Al Jazeera aired a documentary implicating the March 2017 Test, which ended in a draw.

In the program, titled Cricket’s Match-Fixers, a man names two Australian players to an undercover reporter who he claims agreed to score at a slow rate to influence how many runs were scored in a period that was being bet on in illegal markets.

Speaking to Roo and Ditts on Triple M Adelaide this morning, former Australian opening batsman Greg Blewett said the allegations of match-fixing is "something Australian cricket doesn't need right now."

"I was there (at the Ranchi Test)," Blewett told Roo and Ditts.

"It's all allegations at the moment, but Australian cricket doesn't need this right now, that's for sure."

When quizzed as to whether it was possible that two of Australia's batsman where paid off by a match fixer, Blewett said "everything's possible."

"If you had have told me last year that we would produce some sandpaper during a Test Match, I would have said no way," Blewett said.

"Anything's possible, but I'd be really surprised."
