Triple M's Mark Ricciuto says a report from Caroline Wilson about Don Pyke following the 2017 grand final are a "beat-up" and "inaccurate".

ROO RESPONDS TO CARO:

Wilson suggested Pyke went to the AFL Coaches' Association boss Mark Brayshaw after the Crows lost to the Tigers in the 2017 grand final and asked him to "push" for a change to the grand final form.

Riccituo told Triple M's Roo and Ditts on Thursday morning the story was a "beat-up".

"Don Pyke didn't go to Mark Brayshaw and try and change it. They were actually mates and they were having tea, and Mark Brayshaw asked him about it," he said.

"Caro said Don Pyke went to the coaches' association straight after the grand final and challenged it as if he was a sore loser after being beaten by Richmond. That is not the case.

"That's a beat-up and it's inaccurate. Hopefully she clears that up!"
