Local footy player Carl Teusner says he is considering taking further action after having his jaw broken from a knee by an opposition player in Adelaide.

CARL CHATS TO ROO & DITTS:

Footage emerged on Channel 9 of Teusner, who plays for Trinity Old Scholars, having his jaw broken by a raised knee from opposition player Adam Jones, who plays for Salisbury West.

The incident happened in a division seven qualifying final.

"It was in the last quarter," Teusner told Triple M Adelaide.

"(I) got a knock to the head. I didn't know what happened at the time."

Jones will face the Adelaide Football League tribunal on Wednesday night after being reported for four separate incidents, including the knee, with the team's finals campaign also under threat.

Teusner told Roo and Ditts he was also considering taking the incident further.

"It's something I'm considering, to be honest," he said.

"Looking at that particular incident with me on the Saturday...you look at the previous events during the game and it was pretty obvious that this fella was using his legs as a weapon.

"This time, he got me pretty good. It'll be something we're exploring at the moment."

Before chatting to Teusner, Roo and Ditts spoke to South Australia police commissioner Grant Stevens on football and the law.
