Shane Warne has recalled his interesting run-in with skipper Steve Waugh during the 1999 Adelaide Test against India.

WARNE EXPLAINS:

With India reeling at 5/76 at the end of day four, chasing a target of 396, the Australian cricket team went and had a drink at the end of the day's play.

"We were sitting there at the bar, and he came down," Warne explained on Triple M's Roo and Ditts.

Waugh starred in the first innings with 150, while Warne smacked 86 alongside him and had also taken six wickets so far in the match.

It led to a really interesting series of comments from Waugh to Warne when the former arrived.

"I went 'okay, whatever'...the next day, I didn't bowl a ball," he said.

"There was a few things I don't like, selfishness and that sort of stuff.

"But he was a terrific cricketer."
