Adelaide Crows captain Taylor Walker has moved to rubbish rumours that Brad Crouch will miss the rest of the season with injury.

Crouch played a career high 20 games in 2017 but has yet to to play this season due to a persistent groin complaint, and speaking on Talking Footy on Channel 7 last night, Campbell Brown claimed Crouch is due for surgery and will be ruled out for the season.

Speaking to Roo and Ditts on Triple M Adelaide this morning, Walker rubbished that claim, saying that's "the first he's heard of it".

"That's news to me," Walker said when questioned about Crouch's potential groin surgery.

"Brad's still having trouble with his groins, and like anything he consults with the physios and doctors, and they've got a plan.

"Fingers crossed he continues on that plan and we get him back soon."

Walker did admit that Crouch "isn't doing much" in terms of running at training, but said the Crows hoped to have him back "ASAP".

But the Crows captain doubled down on the claims Crouch was done for the season, stating again that it was "news to him".
