Adelaide Crows captain Taylor Walker has admitted he returned too early from injury, putting unnecessary pressure on his body in the process.
The Crows' hulking key forward chatted to Roo and Ditts on Triple M Adelaide this morning, and Tex admitted that his current knee soreness, that has caused him to have a stint on the sidelines, was due to returning from injury earlier than necessary.
Walker missed the majority of the pre-season due to a foot complaint, now he admits that his conditioning isn't up to scratch and he's viewing his time on the sidelines as a "mini pre-season", with an aim to return to the field in Round 13.
"Conditioning wise, I probably wasn't 100 percent," Tex admitted on Triple M.
"I just need a top up to let my body do what I want to do from week to week.
"And being able to train too."
