Tex Walker Would Love To Play State Of Origin

Tex Walker joined Roo & Ditts this morning ahead of the NRL State of Origin match tonight.

Roo asked the Adelaide captain, "what about State of Origin that’s on tonight? Would you seriously love to play State of Origin?"

Tex responded, "Yeah, I’d love to play! I’ve still got my 18s Guernsey of NSW, I can’t get rid of it.

I was obviously, I was born in Adelaide but grew up in Broken Hill, so I’ve still got that. I’d love to be able to play.

Still being able to, deep down, know that I would be able to represent NSW… I would love it."

Ditts raised a good point that Tex "would have to play for the allies".

But what would other players want to do? Would they want to play State of Origin? 

Tex: "I think you would get mixed reviews as to whether blokes would play… I’m certainly all for it."

Ditts: "But they would say you’d need to do it in the middle of the year…"

Tex reckons that "I don’t know if you would have to do it at the middle of the year.

Why not do, round 8/9, then play another 4 or 5 weeks, then the whole AFL has a bye around round 13 you’d go on with the rest of the season."
