Johnathon Thurston’s season ending shoulder injury looks to have had no impact on the playing abilities of our Cowboys.

After the loss of both co-captains from the field, you’d think it’d shake the team up and throw them off their game, but it’s been quite the opposite.

Without Matt Scott and JT, the Cowboys have managed to jump onto a winning streak with their most recent triumph at home over the Warriors.

The Women in League round saw the boys looking proud as punch, wearing pink for the women in their lives, and the added bonus of getting a win on home soil.

The addition of Te Maire Martin has no doubt been a boost to the team’s spirits as well, with the youngin scoring two tries on debut and looking comfortable amongst all the boys on the paddock.

JT is in recovery now from his shoulder surgery and is soaking up as much precious time with his young family as possible.

Thumper’s knee rehab is progressing well, with light running sessions currently on his schedule.

This weekend will see our Cowboys take on the Roosters who are hungry for the number 1 spot on the ladder.
