The horrific news that 189 lives had been lost in a plane crash in Jakarta yesterday has once again sparked debate about the safety of flying with cheap airlines.
But Neil Hansford, the chairman of Strategic Aviation Solutions, has explained that there is one simple way travellers can ensure that they're booking seats with a trusted company - and not one with a questionable track record.
The aviation expert joined The Grill Team on Tuesday morning, where he also issued a stark warning to anyone who doesn't take his advice.
Hansford also spoke about how exactly Lion Air has found itself with such a bad reputation, comparing the differences between the relatively new airline and established, trusted companies like Qantas and Virgin.
