There's a large number of players not backing up from Origin on Wednesday night, with Anthony Milford, Cameron Smith and Nathan Peats all likely to sit out Round 13.
The Grill Team's Matty Johns said that it was a lot to ask players to back up with such a short turnaround and after how brutal Origin I was.
"I think this is part of the dissatisfaction from the clubs and players towards the ruling body," Matty said.
"There is no compensation at the moment and there really needs to be," Matty said.
"It is hard to believe when we talk so seriously about player welfare.
"With what those players went through on Wednesday night, the fact that those players can be expected to back up and play tonight and tomorrow night...
"Talking to people within the Melbourne Storm, they said they've never seen Cameron (Smith) so banged up. And he won't play tonight.
"I think clubs should be compensated. A club should be rewarded for players who are adding to State of Origin."
