"The Salary Cap Problems Have Eaten Away At The Depth Of The Club"

Season 2018 of the NRL is fast approaching, so Matty Johns is previewing every team and their chances.

Today it's the Manly Sea Eagles.

Listen to the full preview here.

"Jake and Tom Trbojevic, They are about to become elite players in this competition. Jake is just all heart. Tom is all class. I expect both of them to be picked for the State of Origin side this year." says Matty Johns

"The question mark surrounding manly is the loss of Blake Green."

"In 2016 Daly Cherry-Evans with no Kieran Foran was forced to run the side and they struggled. Daly lost his running game. Without a strong halves partner they finished 13th. Last year Blake Green arrived. He steered the side around the park. He allowed Daly Cherry-Evans to once again become a pop up and react to opportunity player, and that’s very different. When you’re a player that’s got to push the side around it takes that ability to just sit back and watch."

"For Manly to play finals this year they need to stay injury free. The salary cap problems has eaten away at the depth of the club."

"I don’t have Manly playing Finals football in 2018."
