Veteran Rugby League reporter Buzz Rothfield joined the Triple M Grill Team this morning to discuss the state of the game, and the NRL.

"It's Broken" reads Rothfields scathing article after another weekend of stuff ups in the NRL.

Matty Johns said “I love the game, I would love this game to be the number one game on the planet. But you have to be critical of the game when the game deserves criticism.”

Buzz says the number of penalties that are still being blown 11 rounds into the season is ruining the game. "There’s been more penalty goals in 11 rounds than in the whole season last year."

Matty Johns says "We are in a situation at the moment where its a game of who’s going to hold their nerve between the coaches and the referees"
