Dustin Martin was commanding in Richmond's heart-racing win over Essendon on Saturday.

As is custom with Dreamtime At The G, judges voted after the match for the Yiooken Medal for the player adjudged best afield - of which Martin won.

But not everyone was as impressed with his performance.

EddieMick and Darce discussed his game this morning on Triple M's The Hot Breakfast:

"Good audition for Dustin Martin in front of the Essendon Football Club," Mick joked of the Tigers superstar.

"Well, not everyone thought he played that well!" said Eddie.

"He won the medal by a mile-and-a-half I would’ve thought?" asked Mick.

"Could’ve been two miles… Caroline Wilson didn’t give him a vote. Not even the top 3," Eddie stated.

The breakdown of the Yiooken Medal votes show that of the four judges, three gave Martin 3 votes for the best player on the ground; while Wilson did not name Martin at all.

"I hope you don’t go into those things with pre-conceived ideas based on, say, Chopstick-gate and all that sort of stuff," Eddie continued.

"I hope you’re doing the votes based on what’s happening in front and not any political bias."

"If you couldn’t find a vote for Dusty Martin for Dreamtime At The G you weren’t at the game I would’ve thought," agreed Luke Darcy.

"If he wasn’t best on ground, he was second."
