Jarrod Lyle Ends Active Treatment In His Cancer Fight

In a tragic post on Facebook, the family of Australian golfer Jarrod Lyle has revealed that he will end active treatment on his cancer battle.

The 36-year old will begin palliative care - with his wife Briony explaining that Jarrod's “poor body cannot take any more”.

Lyle suffered a recurrence of acute myeloid leukaemia last year and his condition continued to deteriorate, partially losing his eyesight and having speech difficulties.

Golf Australia media manager and good friend of Lyle, Mark Hayes, joined Triple M's The Hot Breakfast this morning to discuss the heartbreaking news.
