The daily 'Whisper' column in the Herald Sun suggested this morning that an infamous interview from 2013 is having impact in the AFL television landscape.
Triple M's Luke Darcy interviewed former Essendon fitness boss Dean Robinson on Channel 7 - and now there are suggestions that the thought of former Bombers coach James Hird sitting alongside Darce on Talking Footy "doesn't sit well".
LISTEN TO DARCE'S RESPONSE TO THE CLAIM HERE:
Darcy explained that he got the call telling him to do the interview with about 10 hours notice - and he didn't even know who he was going to be talking to.
"He might look at me and think that I didn't help him in that situation, but that is the nature of doing your job," Darce said.
"I certainly didn't come into that situation with an agenda against James."
