Collingwood President Eddie McGuire has spoken about his disappointment in Mark Robinson after the AFL360 host decided to contact Alex Fasolo.

McGuire says that the Herald Sun’s chief footy writer wrote a letter to Fasolo which went against the recommendations from medical professionals.

“I’m really disappointed in Mark. I thought we supported him in giving him the benefit of the doubt on the tweet,” Eddie said on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast.

“Mark asked at some stage if he could speak to to Alex Fasolo and I got medical opinion and went back to him and told him in the most straight forward terms that he was not to make contact with Alex Fasolo,” he said.

“Then for an email to arrive, not only apologising sort of but then to ask for an interview and intimate that this would be good for other sufferers, ie. putting more pressure on the kid was just terrible.

“I told him specifically, do not talk to him. Do not make any contact with him I said. Not from me, under medical assurance.”

“I went and got medical opinion and told him the medical opinion is ‘do not make contact with Alex Fasolo’,” Eddie said.
