Mick Molloy set his sights on All-Australian selector Luke Darcy this morning while discussing the 40-man squad on The Hot Breakfast.

"Why was Trent Cotchin not All-Australian? That was a bit of an oversight, wasn’t it?" Mick asked.

Darce said that every year there is a bunch of players that are desperately unlucky not to sneak in.

"He’s had an outstanding year," Darce said.

"It’s always hard - if you picked a squad of 45 someone would say ‘how could you possibly leave out player #46?’ He was very unlucky, Trent Cotchin."

Mick wasn't having any of it, however, pressing Darce to give a better answer.

"I would’ve thought Cotchin was worth including in the 40. You’re on the panel - tell me why he’s not in it?" Mick said.

Darcy suggested that Mick should be satisfied with the inclusions of Tigers superstars Alex Rance and Dustin Martin who are frontrunners to be selected in the official squad this Wednesday.

"Well, that’s 2 players from a team that finished third on the ladder. That’s all we’ve got," Mick replied.

"I’ll tell you what, if either of those don’t get in… I’m gonna go firebomb your house," he joked.
