Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has joked on Triple M's Hot Breakfast he'll "outsource" the kidnapping of Dustin Martin to ensure he doesn't play.

LISTEN TO BUCKS:

Richmond's general manager of football Neil Balme downplayed the rumours surrounding a possible injury to Martin ahead of this Friday's blockbuster Richmond/Collingwood grand final yesterday.

“The only way he won't play is if someone kidnaps him and doesn’t let him go to the game," he told SEN.

So Wil Anderson asked Bucks whether he was planning to do so.

His response was a belter.

“Funnily enough, no,” he replied on Triple M's Hot Breakfast.

“We’ll outsource that responsibility!”

It had the team in stitches.

“You gotta take a pretty brave kidnapper, too!” Luke Darcy laughed.

Bucks then downplayed the story, saying he was looking forward to the challenge of beating Martin's Tigers.

“As far as the company line goes, we’re prepared to take the best on at their best and earn our stripes," he told Triple M.
