Nathan Buckley has hit out at suggestions that the AFL should step in to try and ensure Tom Lynch stays at Gold Coast.

Paul Roos said the AFL “have to get involved” to keep the star key forward up North, a theory which Bucks rejected on The Hot Breakfast this morning.

LISTEN HERE:

“Tom Lynch has got every right to go and play football wherever he wants to play football,” Bucks said.

“This idea that he has to stay at the Gold Coast Suns is just ridiculous.

“And what, the AFL has to step in and make sure he doesn’t go anywhere?

“Money’s not everything. The kid actually comes from down here, if he wants to move, then he makes that decision.”

Bucks also discussed his new beard, all of the 18 coaches going down the slide on the Queen’s Birthday, and more.
