Aussie wicketkeeping legend Rod Marsh dropped by the Hot Breakfast this morning and told a yarn about the time he gave Eddie McGuire out LBW in a testimonial match at the MCG.

LISTEN HERE:

“I vaguely remember it was a match, a sort of a testimonial match — it was either Dean Jones or David Boon, one of the two — and obviously I was well past my playing days and there was I good reason I was never an umpire,” Marsh said.

“Because I didn’t really know the LBW law!”

“It was a bit rough — I was square leg trying to play the ball… He told me to ‘get off the MCG you Collingwood…’”

“I wouldn’t have said that!,” Marsh said.
