Last night on Fox Footy, Brisbane legend Jonathan Brown had a scathing criticism of Collingwood after watching a recent training session.

“Collingwood had a lethargy about them against GWS, so I go down to training to have a look,” Brown said On The Couch.

“I get my benchmark — I look at Richmond … they train with intensity, they train with an urgency of a premiership team.

“I go down the road and watch Collingwood — there’s a lethargy. There’s a lack of urgency, a lack of intensity … blokes dawdling between drills.”

Joining Triple M's The Hot Breakfast, the Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury responded to the feedback.

"I do remember the one day in pre-season that he turned up," Pendlebury said.

"We actually played an intra-club the next night - so we were out there as a light captain's run.

"Out of all the sessions every club does, every time we hit the field we're not there to do team training.

"I remember the day he was there... and I thought to myself 'I wonder what he thinks we're doing here?'"
