Triple M's Hot Breakfast footy reporter Tom Browne says Collingwood forward Alex Fasolo could move on "as soon as today".

BROWNE ON FASOLO'S NEXT CLUB:

Fasolo has struggled to crack Collingwood's senior team this season, and now remains without a contract for 2019.

The 26-year-old played just the one game at AFL level, returning to the side in round nine after a shoulder injury pushed back his start to the season.

There he only lasted until the second quarter, injuring his ankle.

Browne joined Triple M's Hot Breakfast on Tuesday morning and told the team Fasolo was set to earn a lifeline at Carlton for 2019 and beyond.

“It’s just subject to a medical,” he explained.

“Hopefully he’ll get a second chance there as well.

“It’ll happen, I think, as soon as today. There’s just a few little issues to get through there.”
